Steps-by-Step Guide
See our steps-by-step guide to get you from the start, to a fully functioning Elementor WordPress Website.
Think about what you want your Website to show & do and a basic idea of colors that you like. This will also be a good time for you to consider your logo if you don't have one yet, as your logo colors will be very important in the color scheme of your Website. If you don't have a logo, I can help with this.
If you don't really know what you like, you can always have a look at other Websites in your line of business to get an idea of what you would like for your Website. Your Website won't look like theirs, but it gives us a nice idea of what you might like.
Think about the pages that you want and what information you would like to show on each page. Write the information for each page down in a Word document and save it. If you have any images or photos that you would like to use on your Website, save these as well, so we can try and find a nice place for them.
Once you have a basic idea of what you are looking for, you can Contact me to begin the process. Of course you are welcome to contact me at any time before this.
Once we have discussed your Website needs and you are ready to go ahead, you will need to decide on a domain name (if you don't already have one). You will also need to decide what type of domain you want, for example .co.nz, .com, .nz etc.
Your domain name will be what your clients, or potential clients type into Google to find your website, for example www.mydomain.co.nz. Try and keep the domain name short and use your business name (or part thereof), so it's easy for clients to type and remember.

Once you have decided what domain name you would like, I will assist in checking availability.
It is best to register the domain as soon as you are ready, as to secure the domain name with no chance of loosing it.
I normally activate the hosting account once the website is ready to go live. If you need email addresses before that time, please let me know and we will activate it immediately so that we can set-up your email accounts.

If you currently have an active hosting account, everything will remain as is until we make your new website live. This will not affect your email accounts.
Once we have discussed your website needs & secured your domain, I can get started on your new website. This is when I will need the ideas and information you thought about in STEP 1. Your logo is the most important, as the colors will give me an idea of the scheme of your website.
I will create all the pages you require and add all the information & images that you would like to use. I may also ask for additional information as we go along. Once the look and feel of your website comes together, I will give you a link, in order for you to have a look at the progress and you can now send me any changes or additional information that you would like updated or added.
Once you are happy with the look of your new website, I will go ahead and make the website live on your hosting package. After a few settings are updated, you are ready to show the world what your business is all about!
Think about changes & updates that you would perform on your website often. I will create a step-by-step guide for you, with each process, that you can keep handy for when the time comes to make some changes. We can also arrange a call to go through everything with you.
